At, fort George, Brock was awoken by the sounds of gun. The sound was coming from the direction of Queenston. He thought this might be a diversion but to make sure he sent some men him self to Queenston. When Brock's small party got there the Americans were already there. So Brock and his party manage to flee without getting hurt. Brock then quickly sent a message to Major General Sheaffe at Fort George, saying to bring as many men as possible to Queenston. Brocks first attack was made by Dennis's and Williams's militia men. They almost dislodged Captain Wool and his men from the position they were in but a quick counter-strike pushed Brock back again. Even though Brock was wounded in the first battle he continued he said, ' Push on the York volunteers'.

So he lead the second assault on since he had a bright red coat a sharpshooter saw him and sniped him.

A few minutes later, Denis's troops fired a volley of musket balls at the Americans as they were coming to shore. As soon as Colonel Van Rensselaer stepped onto Canadian land he got hit by a musket ball. He was trying to round up his troops when he promptly got hit five more times.
